Finally. The parents, grandparents and siblings have been told. Lots of happy tears and excitement. It’s also social media official so now everyone knows. I always looked at everyone else’s announcements and wondered when it would be our turn, would it ever be our turn? Never did I think we would be doing an announcement photo with tons of needles, I always expected the cutsy little photos of three pumpkins in a row or something similar. That however was not our journey, 129 needles were part of our story and we owned it and showed it proudly. The amount of kind comments and well wishes we received were overwhelming and humbling and it made putting ourselves out there worth it! Also in other food news, our NIPT tests all came back negative, meaning baby is at very low risk for Down’s Syndrome or any other genetic abnormalities. Since we chose not to do genetic testing on our embryos it was always a question in the back of our minds. Next step, mini/virtual gender reveal in 2 weeks. The Dr. has the results and will be putting it into a sealed envelope for us to pick up so we can have a cake made. I guess I will give hubby the task because I will be too tempted to peek. We will officially be in the second trimester this week as well. Still easy as can be, no pain, nausea or bad symptoms. I’m starting to feel more bloated and I’m pretty sure I have super human smell. I’ve had to switch to unscented deodorant and laundry detergent. I cannot handle strong smells on it close to my body. Glad it’s easy to work around! No complaints here, just looking forward to the future and life hopefully getting back to normal or the new normal, whatever that may be!
