PIO Here We Go

Today was day one of the dreaded and potentially never ending PIO shots and I have to say it wasn’t bad at all! I requested a smaller 25 gauge needle rather than the normal 22 gauge so maybe that helped. The thing is 1.5” long after all and it goes in your back/butt muscle so in my mind the thinner the better even if it does take longer to inject!

I have to take 1mL every morning by 10AM. Luckily I have hubby to give me all shots, because I am definitely not a contortionist so I have no clue how I would actually be able to reach it myself. I also start Medrol and Doxycycline tonight and continue that to our transfer day which has been scheduled for February 17th. Until BETA test day (the blood test to determine if I’m pregnant or not) my protocol will look like this:

2/12/2020 – cd 18 – 1mL Progesterone & 4mg Estrace in the AM - 16mg Medrol, 100mg Doxycycline & 4mg Estrace in the PM

2/13/2020 – cd 19 – 1mL Progesterone, 4mg Estrace & 100mg Doxycycline in the AM - 16mg Medrol, 100mg Doxycycline & 4mg Estrace in the PM

2/14/2020 – cd 20 – 1mL Progesterone, 4mg Estrace & 100mg Doxycycline in the AM - 16mg Medrol, 100mg Doxycycline & 4mg Estrace in the PM
