Hot Flashes & Headaches

Today is day 4 of FET (frozen embryo transfer) meds and the hot flashes are real and the headaches are intense! Right now I’m taking Estrace (Estrogen) 6mg a day, luckily for me it’s only 3 small pills but those 3 tiny pills pack a very big punch. Much like the start of STIMS I’m having random hot flashes and nightly headaches. I’m not a big drinker but even if I have a little bit of wine I feel like I can’t function, unfortunate since hubby and I are on vacation in Key West for my birthday.

Our lining check and first round of bloodwork will be next Friday (Feb. 7th). If all is going well we will start the Medrol, Doxycycline and Progesterone injections after, again can we talk about those needles?!? There might be one more appointment and then finally the transfer right around Valentine’s Day. It’s crazy how real this is all getting considering last year at this time we felt hopeless and didn’t know if any of his would ever be a possibility for us. If this transfer is successful and we are fortunate enough to have a healthy baby that will leave us with 2 frozen embryos for another transfer for a hopeful second baby. If it isn’t successful then we plan to do another retrieval this year to get more embryos.

As usual everything is up in the air and out of our hands but we are used to that by now! For now we do what we can and hope for the best!
