Meds are ordered and Baselines are done. The meds came to a whopping total of $5,366.77. OUCH! That hurts worse than the 100 shots I will be doing. My protocol is the microflare dose protocol and I will be starting with Lupron for 2 days, then adding on Pregnyl Microdose HCG and Gonal F. Each one morning and night. My nurse thinks I will be ready to trigger somewhere around September 2nd or 3rd for retrieval and MicroTESE surgery September 4th or 5th. Crossing all of our fingers and toes that everything goes according to plan. Baselines this morning were interesting, I found out that I have a retroverted uterus (my uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes face my back rather than my stomach) and I have a lazy ovary, most likely what causes my low AMH. I had 5 follicles on the right side (7.3mm, 8.3mm, 7.1mm, 6.6mm and 7.2mm) and only one follicle on the left side (5.3mm). Hopefully I will have more next time and the left side catches up, I sure would like to avoid doing this again! Other than that my bloodwork all looked good. My next scan will be on August 28th and we will see where to go from there. After an emergency trip to a local compounding pharmacy to get Lupron the first injection is tonight, the rest of the meds arrive from Arizona tomorrow and Sunday starts 6 injections a day...so here we go!
