Here we go again, hearing up for FET #2 for (hopefully) baby #2. After much debate and decision making, we have decided the time is right to grow our little family. Unfortunately due to Covid both Eric and I lost our jobs, therefore losing our infertility coverage, so this time around will be all out of pocket. Fortunately frozen embryo transfers are not nearly as expensive ($3,300 per transfer at Cleveland Clinic) plus bloodwork, monitoring and medicine, which should be covered by our insurance. Unfortunately it means we only have 2 more chances since we only have 2 more embryos and at this time we do not plan to pay out of pocket for another retrieval cycle. We did our consult with the doctor in December and then waited for CD1 to arrive, which it did on January 1st. So on January 6th I went in for my Saline Hysteroscopy, which I was dreading. My doctor prescribed me Lorazepam and told me to take 1,000mg of ibuprofen. Not sure what did the trick, or it it was simply because I grew a whole human in my uterus, but it did not hurt at all this time. Finally a win! I have also done the long list of lab tests…yay more blood draws. Next, get the meds ordered, make our payment to Cleveland Clinic and wait for CD1 again. With any luck, I will be starting meds within the next week or two.
